ESSENTIAL SONGWRITIG COURSE (ESC)

Discover the art of songwriting!

Description & learning outcomes

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Essential Songwriting Course (ESC) consists of 3 workshops—Lyrics, Composition, and Melody. These workshops provide foundational knowledge in songwriting and can be taken individually or as a full course. Each workshop offers you vital skills for songwriting. From crafting compelling narratives in Lyrics to refining compositional techniques in Composition, and mastering standout melodies in Melody, you’ll embark on a transformative journey. Thanks to understanding concepts such as prosody or knowing how to support your song’s mood with compositional elements, you’ll learn how to write strong and memorable songs. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned songwriter, this course will equip you with essential techniques to elevate your craft.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Each workshop lasts one day, from 10:00 to 16:00 (a shorter version can be offered upon request). Workshops include both theoretical and practical segments. You’ll complete assignments individually or in groups and receive feedback. Through hands-on exercises and collaboration, you’ll learn right on the spot.

DURATION

Spread over 3 weeks ( 1 workshop/ week). This can be adjusted based on request.

FINAL CONCERT

Scheduled for the 4th week or shortly after.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

In order to be able to provide students with personal attention and feedback, the course is ideally limited to a minimum of 6 and max of 12 participants at a time. This is subject to change based on a prior agreement.
